Absolutely not! The experiences I have had in my childhood, my teen years, and my 20s are not anything that makes me feel like I want to go back and relive any of it. There was a lull in my 30s where everything was o.k. But honestly, now that I have reached middle-aged status (hence the name of my blog), I am damn glad to be here. I have survived all that made those ages of my life miserable and I’m just now getting used to this new stage. This stage doesn’t come fully loaded with crippling anxiety, fear of criticism, lack of free time… it does however come with lots of anger and a general attitude of “don’t mess with me”, an attitude that I have never had before but am enjoying. Bottom line, I would never go back.

Middle-aged Maverick is indeed middle-aged and she’s proud of it. She has a tendency to over think and over analyze many of the things she encounters in her life, as evidenced in many of her posts. She knows how to drive a stick-shift car, prefers Coke over Pepsi, and spent many of her adolescent years being obsessed with Jim Carrey.
