If you were forced to wear one outfit over and over again, what would it be?
This is an intriguing question. Actually, it’s pretty bold of WordPress to assume that I would have to be forced to wear the same outfit over and over. I pretty much have a favorite outfit that I gladly wear all year long. And that outfit is yoga pants and a t-shirt. When it’s colder outside, I add a hoodie.
I’m relatively late to the discovery of how amazing yoga pants are. Never had a pair until about 2 years ago, but now I have about 5 pairs. I’ve recently upgraded to those rompers. I guess that’s what they’re called. They’re like yoga pants with tapered legs, but with an overalls kind of top to them. Those are pretty comfortable.
But yoga pants are just the epitome of comfort to me. Perfect for lounging around the house… or in the backyard. Even if it’s pretty hot outside, I will still wear yoga pants because it’s mosquito-y in our backyard and the pants keep my legs from getting eaten up.
You can wear them out in public as it is perfectly socially acceptable. I often wear a tank top with them and my favorite flannel shirt over top, worn without buttoning up. It’s not a typical flannel shirt. Much thinner. I got it from the giveaway table at the last knitting camp/retreat I went to. Someone didn’t want it, I did. Now it’s my favorite cover up.
When it’s cold, a hoodie makes the yoga pants combo even better. I have five or six in my closet that I put in rotation in the colder months.
I really feel like this is such a boring thing to talk about today. Yoga pants. I love them. I wear them over and over again anyway, so no force needed. I like baggy legged pants because I hate leggings or other pants clinging to my legs. I also like an elastic waist. It’s really just all about comfort.
