My response to this prompt when it came up on this day last year is pretty much still 100% accurate, even a year later…
From 2024:
My #1 priority depends on what part of the day we’re talking about. From 8:00-5:00, my #1 priority is being at work and getting through my to-do list there. After work, my priority is being at home. I don’t know what that will entail…probably finding something to eat for dinner, taking the dog outside to play for a while, and doing something entertaining after that, like knitting on the couch while I watch t.v., which I do every night. If by priority, the intent is to identify something to do, I don’t really have a priority when I’m at home. My priority is to just BE at home. To separate myself from work and focus on the time to myself at home. Lately, I have found this to be very important for me “to do”, as it should be for us all.
It’s not very different in 2025. Now it’s two dogs that go outside to play. This week though, I do have a specific priority. I am two albums away from being caught up with Taylor Swift’s discography. I only have Midnights and The Tortured Poets Department left to go. I absolutely need to get caught up in time to listen to her new album before I go to the release party on Friday. Nothing like working on a deadline! I can do it though. Apple Music tells me that I have about three and a half hours of music to listen to between those two albums. Totally doable.
