What have you been working on?

When this question came up on this day last year, I reflected on the fact that I was working on myself. I was a few days away from my first therapy appointment and I was excited about beginning the process of healing from all of the emotional trauma that had been building up.

A year later, I’m still doing that. And I’m also still working on other random things that I listed last year. I have yarn projects in the works. I’ve got two books that I’m reading and a large selection of other books on my TBR pile. I also have writing pieces that are on their way to being finished.

Honestly, I could also say I’m working on filling up my arms with tattoos. I’m going to take a break from that for a couple months though. My most recent one has just started the itchy phase of healing and I’m getting a little tired of it. My arms have been in a pretty constant state of healing this year from all the ink I’ve had added to them.

Bottom line, there are a lot of things that are a work in progress for me. Some things get finished, other things get started. It beats being bored.

  1. Good for you, boredom is the worst.

Middle-aged Maverick is indeed middle-aged and she’s proud of it. She has a tendency to over think and over analyze many of the things she encounters in her life, as evidenced in many of her posts. She knows how to drive a stick-shift car, prefers Coke over Pepsi, and spent many of her adolescent years being obsessed with Jim Carrey.
