Movie/music Monday

Not a good day today. I’m concerned about the way I feel. Various doctors appointments scheduled this week to try and figure it out. Various applications submitted so that I can get hired somewhere else and eliminate my current job as a contributing factor to how I feel.

In the meantime Taylor Swift’s song “It’s Time To Go” keeps coming up on my playlist when I hit shuffle. These lyrics sum it up perfectly:

She’s absolutely right.

  1. She’s DEF right in these lyrics! *Sighs* I hate that you’re having to deal with all of this. It seems like you just got away from the previous job. I wish people would just do right by others.

Oh, I think you wanted me to let you know when the book of poems for my baby girl was published? Am I remembering this correct? If so, here’s the link… https://acorneredgurl.com/2026/01/12/scattered-words-poems-for-jernee-timid-loadholt/ If not… You can spam me from this point forward. 😅🤣😂 My brain’s not what it used to be.

    1. Really though, I don’t think it’s just my job. It was so much worse at the other place. I think there’s more going on with me. I’m really suspecting perimenopause and crazy hormones. Obgyn doctor tomorrow and psychiatrist on Thursday to cover my bases. Something is not right.

Also, thank you so much for sharing the link! I definitely wanted to see it.

      1. Ah… I can understand about perimenopause being a possible direct link to what you are experiencing. It is the pits sometimes. Good luck with the docs’ visits.

And you’re most welcome! Thank you!

  2. You do what you got to do girl for you. I know you got this and when the new job comes to you it will be sweet.

Keep listening to the good music and keep doing all the good things for yourself. Cuz good things are coming.

    1. Yes! I definitely think so too! My supervisor told the big boss she thinks I’m going to quit if I continue to be overworked like this. She went to bat for me. It didn’t work, but at least she’ll get to say “I told you so” soon.

Middle-aged Maverick is indeed middle-aged and she’s proud of it. She has a tendency to over think and over analyze many of the things she encounters in her life, as evidenced in many of her posts. She knows how to drive a stick-shift car, prefers Coke over Pepsi, and spent many of her adolescent years being obsessed with Jim Carrey.
