The screenshot for this week was saved in May 2021. It’s possible I saw it on the Facebook page of the sticker company I get monthly subscription packs from. In May of that year, I was finally wrapping up a year of teaching both in-person and virtual students. It was the first full school year during the Covid pandemic. Perhaps by the end of the year, I was so relieved to be done with it that I was inspired and excited about all that I could do over the summer months when I would finally have time off.

I think the advice here is as good today as it was for me back then. Every new day we have is a wonderful opportunity for us to do what we do. Whatever that is. And what we do matters, no matter how big or small it is.
For me, today, my mark will be making memories with my sister and her family. Not necessarily something big, but days like this don’t come often for us given the distance between our homes, so maybe it is something big. Memories last as long as our minds can contain them. I’d say that actually is something big.
What mark will you make today?
