Go on a walk today and share a photo of something that catches your eye.

I didn’t go on a walk today. I recently traded in morning walks/runs for walking/running on the treadmill at the gym. However, I did walk to my car this afternoon, and while this isn’t an actual picture of the car we’re obsessed with (because taking a real picture would be weird), it’s a good representation.

The office I share with the other guy on my team is at the end of the hallway on the third floor of our building. There is a huge wall of windows that overlook the parking lot behind the hospital across from us. In the very back row of the parking lot, in the very last space at the end of the row, there is always this hot pink car with super dark, blacked out windows. The windows that make us wonder how he hasn’t been pulled over yet because that much window tint is illegal in our state.

For several days, we have been watching for the owner to come get into the car. We just kind of want to know who drives it. The shift change at the hospital is at 3/3:30ish. Today, nearly that whole row of cars cleared out, but when I left work at 4:00, the pink car remained. I joked that I was going to park in that spot tomorrow if I got to it first, just to mess with the guy who drives it. For some reason, we’re convinced it’s a guy.

In any case, the owner has not yet revealed himself (or herself). All in good time though. We’ll catch him/her at some point. Until then, we’ll just keep staring out the window while we pretend to work. It’s a good thing that window has a reflective coating on the outside and people can’t look in and see a trio of people standing at the window staring out into the parking lot. That would look a little crazy. I mean, it already does, but we would absolutely look the whole part if people saw us.

I’ll report back.

  1. Can’t wait to see who it belongs to. Has to be someone working extremely long hours.

    1. I’m going to make a point to check for it to be there when I come in at 8:00 tomorrow. I don’t know when the nursing shifts start, but apparently they end around the time I leave. There were still people walking out when I left, so maybe I just missed that person.

  2. Dang, is that pink bright enough? oh wait, I’m not blinded so no

    1. 😂 Right?! It is SO bright! But for whatever reason, I’m convinced it’s a dude that drives it.

  3. If it’s a dude I wonder if he’s a Ken 😂

Middle-aged Maverick is indeed middle-aged and she’s proud of it. She has a tendency to over think and over analyze many of the things she encounters in her life, as evidenced in many of her posts. She knows how to drive a stick-shift car, prefers Coke over Pepsi, and spent many of her adolescent years being obsessed with Jim Carrey.
