What bothers you and why?
What bothers me is vague prompts like this. There are a lot of circumstances surrounding what bothers me. For example, what time of day is it? Better yet, what day of the week is it? Because if it’s Monday at 6:50 am when my alarm goes off for me to start my work day, just having to get up and go to work bothers me.
So many things bother me at random times too. I’m home for lunch and just scraped the back of my leg on something in our back room while I went to let the dogs into the backyard. The stuff that was piled in the way bothered me.

Perhaps the question should ask, what bothers me the most. The little annoyances I mentioned are temporary. And they might not always bother me. Some days I’m not bothered by the clutter in our back room. It’s just stuff we’ll eventually organize. Today it bothered me because I scraped my leg on it.
To modify the question into what bothers me the most—which, to be fair, changes over time—right now, is…actually, I don’t know. Everything is so temporary that the things I’m thinking of don’t always bother me. Things around our house that need fixing bother me…but not always. Many times I tell myself that this is our house. We’re going to be here forever, we’ve got time. Then I’m not so bothered by all the things we need to do that my impatience gets me worked up over.
I thought about answering that my job right now bothers me the most. It’s a really busy time at work. But come the second week of August, it will be over and done…the super busy time period that is. And again, it doesn’t always bother me. Today, for instance, I’m getting a lot of work done because things have slowed down since yesterday. If I can be productive, I feel good. Today is one of those days.
I suppose it really just depends on what’s happening in my life at the moment. Aren’t we all like that? I try not to be so irritated by things. It happens naturally, but I work to make sure I don’t stay bothered. I consciously shift my thoughts to something else and it usually works to make the irritation subside.
