What was the last thing you searched for online? Why were you looking for it?

Did the FBI sponsor this question? Probably not. They already know our search history, I’m sure. They would want to know why we were looking up those things though. That is, of course, after the fact. They would want to prove our motive for something.

Sorry to disappoint you FBI person tracking my online activity…the last thing I searched for was “Joe Alwyn”. And I was looking for him because I’m trying to become a Swiftie. Since Taylor Swift got engaged yesterday, I asked the Swifties who follow me on Threads if she had ever been engaged before. They said no, and also that they thought she might become engaged to her last boyfriend. That boyfriend being Joe Alwyn. So I Googled him. Since I have never been a fan until now, I have never paid attention to the celebrity gossip surrounding her. I remember hearing about her boyfriends that were famous…John Mayer, the guy who was the werewolf opposite the sparkly vampire Edward in the Twilight movies (why can’t I remember the character or the actor’s name?!) and Joe Jonas. I know there were others, but those are the ones I remember hearing about.

Does the prompt today want a report of what we learned from our search? I hope not because I’m not feeling all English class, let’s-write-a-research- paper on this today. However, I did go back to Google and look him up again to make sure I was getting his name correct for this and I came across a lot of posts from social media outlets proclaiming that “Taylor Swift’s ex is spotted for the first time in public since her engagement”. My first thought upon reading that? Was he supposed to be in hiding? Did the break-up with her leave him in desolation? From what I read and from what I gathered from the responses to my post on Threads, he is a very shy, introverted kind of guy. Which contributed to them not lasting, given that she’s a worldwide superstar and not at all shy. So I’m guessing he doesn’t appreciate the attention he’s getting today simply because his ex-girlfriend got engaged. He probably feels some kind of way about it, or maybe not. I don’t really think it’s our business how he feels. I think he would agree.

Jacob!! The werewolf’s name was Jacob! And he was played by Taylor Lautner! And I didn’t even have to Google it. (I was Team Edward in case anyone is wondering).

  1. Ah, yes, the engagement. It is going to overshadow everything. I have already seen 100 memes. I’m not hating, I am just going to get bored real quick. But I would have been looking up the same info for sure. I love to read that stuff.

    1. It absolutely is! Lol! I’m becoming a fan, but haven’t reached peak Swiftie status yet, lol!

  2. “I don’t really think it’s our business how he feels. I think he would agree.”

That part! He probably hates that level of attention and wants to be left alone.

    1. I would too if I were him!

Middle-aged Maverick is indeed middle-aged and she’s proud of it. She has a tendency to over think and over analyze many of the things she encounters in her life, as evidenced in many of her posts. She knows how to drive a stick-shift car, prefers Coke over Pepsi, and spent many of her adolescent years being obsessed with Jim Carrey.
