If you could meet a historical figure, who would it be and why?

It’s been a busy day. I left work early because I wasn’t feeling well, but then got wrapped up in doing stuff at home that this post today just got pushed further and further back in my mind. I do have a good answer for this one today. But I’m going to link to a post I wrote over the summer. Both of the people I talk about in this post could technically be considered “historical”. They are no longer alive and both have left a tremendous mark on history. One more so than the other. One impacted millions. The other impacted hundreds.

Please look back and read my thoughts on Betty White and my father-in-law. Two people I never met, but both impacted me in that Betty always made me laugh, and my father-in-law, John, contributed greatly to the man my husband is now.

Middle-aged Maverick is indeed middle-aged and she’s proud of it. She has a tendency to over think and over analyze many of the things she encounters in her life, as evidenced in many of her posts. She knows how to drive a stick-shift car, prefers Coke over Pepsi, and spent many of her adolescent years being obsessed with Jim Carrey.
