What are your favorite physical activities or exercises?

Running and the fun stuff adults do with other adults they find attractive are things I have said when answering this question all the times it has come up before.

Aside from that, I don’t do much physical activity when I’m at home. However, when I’m at work, my favorite “exercise” is getting up from my desk after sitting for a while and walking to the office of my various teammates so I can chat and gossip until my legs feel sufficiently stretched and I’m ready to sit down again. While I’m standing there talking to them, I also do a squat every now and then. And by “squat”, I mean bending my knees slightly so that pressure is put on my ankles and they pop. One of my coworkers says I’m “oiling my knees” but it’s my ankles that are popping. My knees don’t pop, they make a tearing noise when I stand up or climb stairs.

I swear though, I really am going to start for real exercising soon. I caught a glimpse of myself in the mirror recently and with all my bangin’ arm tattoos, I kind of want to do something to get rid of my upper arm flab. I don’t mind it so much, but how cool would I look running down the sidewalk in my neighborhood with arms blazing that are tattooed AND lean? It’s kind of like in the movie “American Beauty” when Kevin Spacey’s character is running with the guys in his neighborhood and he says he just wants to look good naked. I mean, it’s kind of the same thing that I want. Just so you know, I’m smiling as I write this. It could happen. It could also happen that I continue my streak of physical fitness by walking a minimal amount of steps to my coworkers’ offices each day. We’ll see what happens in the new year.

Middle-aged Maverick is indeed middle-aged and she’s proud of it. She has a tendency to over think and over analyze many of the things she encounters in her life, as evidenced in many of her posts. She knows how to drive a stick-shift car, prefers Coke over Pepsi, and spent many of her adolescent years being obsessed with Jim Carrey.
