Something Good” Sunday

I survived this week. That’s good enough for me. I have exactly three days of work left, next Tuesday through Thursday will be my last. This week seemed to take forever to get through! But it’s over now. And I am in the middle of enjoying a three-day weekend of my own creation. They don’t pay me for the sick days I don’t take when I leave, so I took a sick day tomorrow and one next Friday.

It has been a delightful weekend so far. Yesterday, Josh and I went out and ran some errands to include going to the local garden store. There was a lot of reading and crocheting at other times. Plus, Ryan Gosling hosted Saturday Night Live last night, so that was the cherry on top of the day.

Today, though it has only just barely started for me, I anticipate it being good. Probably some laundry and washing dishes. Have to go to the store, but that’s o.k. It’s a typical weekend day. We’re done with our room transformation so now we don’t have to work on it anymore. We can return to our usual weekend routine. And because I’m not going to work tomorrow, I don’t have to mourn the end of the weekend when today starts to close.

I’m looking forward to tomorrow. I plan to do some writing, make a video, also keep working on a crochet project I’m excited about, and make a trip to the post office to mail some things to my yarn friends. That’ll be a good day too.

So, not really one specific thing this week that was good, just a generally good weekend in progress.

I hope you all are enjoying your weekend! And if you live in a state affected by Daylight Savings Time, may your recovery from that one hour loss of sleep be swift!

  1. I always tell people, “I don’t really feel the effects of Daylight Saving Time when we forward. I think what I typically try to do is go to sleep earlier. My body takes a bit longer to shut down at night, yes, but once I’m in the bed and my head hits the pillow, it’s a wrap. LOL. I love seeing more daylight, though. That’s always a plus for me. I do NOT WELCOME the warmer temps, though. Ugh. LOL. It’s going to be an insane Spring and Summer. I can feel it.

Enjoy your time off this week and the rest of today, too!

  2. Sounds like a great weekend

    1. Definitely so far!

Middle-aged Maverick is indeed middle-aged and she’s proud of it. She has a tendency to over think and over analyze many of the things she encounters in her life, as evidenced in many of her posts. She knows how to drive a stick-shift car, prefers Coke over Pepsi, and spent many of her adolescent years being obsessed with Jim Carrey.
