Movie/music Monday
Usually on Saturdays, Josh and I have a conversation about what to watch that night. We try to decide between watching a new movie or something we’ve seen over and over. I had a promotional credit for Prime so we scrolled on there to find a movie this past Saturday. We settled on “The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent”.

It’s that seemingly weird movie with Nicolas Cage where he plays himself. I had heard it was really good. At least, it has an 87% on Rotten Tomatoes. I wanted to watch it if for no other reason than to see the scene with Nicolas Cage and Pedro Pascal that inspired so many reels.

Surprisingly, or not, it really was a pretty good movie. It is a little strange, but overall, I’m glad we watched it.
Also, since today is about movies and/or music, I’d thought I’d share the songs I have recently added to my playlist. In fact, I created a new playlist. I have a “Random Awesomeness” playlist. But I just created a “Mega Random Mix”. I realized with my original playlist that I only had a handful of Taylor Swift’s songs. While I have listened to all of her songs at least once, I want to go back and listen to them again as they come up. So I added all of her discography to the “Mega…” playlist and then added in all of what I had on the “Random Awesomeness” playlist. So now, according to Apple Music, that playlist has 37 hours worth of music. Every other song that comes up on shuffle is a Taylor Swift song and I’m ok with that.
In addition to the Taylor Swift songs, here are some other random songs I thought of that I added:

A completely random assortment. Except for the George Michael song and the one by GAYLE, all of the other songs were also added to my “High School Nostalgia” playlist. Those are straight from my 90s era.
Looks and sounds like I have plenty of music to keep me occupied on my drive to and from Cleveland this week! Although, the Hamilton soundtrack will be included in my driving line-up. I always listen to that when I drive up there. It’s roughly a 2.5 hour album and since it tells a story through songs, it’s like watching a movie while I drive. A good way to make that chunk of the drive go by faster.
What movies have you all seen lately? Any “new” music added to your playlists?
