Movie/music Monday

Since I have dubbed Mondays as the day I post about movies and/or music, I think it’s appropriate to share the 2nd outfit from the Harry Styles Desk Goose Collection that I’m developing. Sounds so fancy right? As a reminder, it is literally just me looking at Harry Styles’ most iconic outfits and replicating them in yarn for the 7 inch plastic desk goose that my supervisor has in her office.

I got the 2nd outfit started and finished on Saturday. Actually, I started it on Friday and finished it Saturday morning but it came out way too big so I had to start over.

Here’s the inspiration picture:

Make sure to observe the butterfly tattoo in the middle of his torso. This is important.

And here’s my version…

Now, about that tattoo…I needed a way to secure the coat so it stayed on the goose, you know, since the goose has no arms. So I printed another copy of the inspiration picture, cut out the butterfly tattoo, and glued it onto a piece of white craft felt. Then I sewed the sides of the felt to the inside of the coat. I was so impressed with myself for that idea.

A close up:

I am now working on the third outfit…a yellow, black, and orange plaid blazer with a purple fur scarf. I’ve got the jacket done, just need to make the sleeves, add a button to secure it, and make the scarf. Should be able to finish tonight.

And before I close for today, let me just say, in case anyone thinks this is weird, there is a person on Threads making celebrity outfits and putting them on a toy velociraptor. The most recent one was Chappel Roane’s pink pony club outfit. So…this may be weird, but at least I’m in good company.
