What are three objects you couldn’t live without?
Three objects that I can’t live without…I’m going to be a 42 year old teenager with my first answer and say, my phone. I’m kind of obsessed with it. Which makes it difficult on my anxiety when I know I need a break from it, but there’s still so much to do on it!
Next, I’m going to go Al Bundy and say that I also can’t live without my spot on the couch. Is that Al Bundy or more Sheldon Cooper? My spot on the couch is glorious. I’ve got the pillows propped up behind me in such a way that I am reclined but still sitting up enough to work on a yarn project. It’s my favorite place to relax every evening.
It’s hard to say what an actual third object is. My knitting? A book? My journal? But honestly, it’s my husband. It’s entirely possible that he will leave this earth before I do, and I will have to live without him. But it will be nearly impossible. Twenty five years with a man who has been there through literally more than half of my life is long enough to make me feel that life would be extremely difficult without him. Even enduring the days he has to go on a work trip sometimes are pretty bad. I do enjoy time alone sometimes. It’s nice to only have to worry about myself sometimes. But not for the rest of my life if I didn’t have him. Not because he takes care of me like he had to when my mental health was at its worst, but because his companionship and love sustain me on a daily basis. My spot on the couch is adjacent to his spot on the loveseat. That’s just how it is.
