“Something Good” Sunday

I found my creative groove. After spending some time being resentful of the idea that I need to have a large social media presence in order to get my book published, I have gotten fully on board with it. I’ve been working on posting things on all of my accounts each day, to include TikTok and the response has been very positive. Growing a following takes time but I’m enjoying creating things to share. One of my former coworkers who I now consider a friend, she and her daughter watch my TikToks and her daughter, the persnickety teenager that she is, told her mom that she likes my videos about mental health. That’s surprising coming from a teenager, but it’s also encouraging.

I can’t forget why I’m building my platform and that is to get my book in more hands when it’s done. So I have also been working on actually writing it. I finally finished transcribing volume 7 and moved on to volume 8. Teenage Sarah isn’t as insufferable in that volume…yet.

Faye snuggled with me as I worked on it last night.

I’m in a groove in daily life as well. I have gotten accustomed to working from home so that I now feel comfortable with my daily routine. Of course that will change in a few weeks when we move into our new building, but for now, I’m enjoying it. I’m still having to remind myself that I don’t need to wish to have more to do at work because this slow paced job is exactly what I wanted. And I’m making more money at this job than I have at any other job I’ve ever had. So this is a win-win all around.

Now if you’ll excuse me, I have to work on the video I’m going to post today…

Middle-aged Maverick is indeed middle-aged and she’s proud of it. She has a tendency to over think and over analyze many of the things she encounters in her life, as evidenced in many of her posts. She knows how to drive a stick-shift car, prefers Coke over Pepsi, and spent many of her adolescent years being obsessed with Jim Carrey.
