“Something Good” Sunday
And by something good, today, I mean something snowy. We were supposed to get a “bomb cyclone” of a snow storm yesterday in my state. It’s been super cold all week and the cold air was supposed to make it pure snow. And it did. For everybody east and west of my city. There was a “dry pocket” of strip of air that went vertically across my city. All day I saw people on social media and on the local news talking about the intensity of the snow they were getting just east and west of us. The meteorologists kept assuring us that the pocket would close up and we’d finally get snow. And we did. Starting around 8:30 last night and going well into the morning, we ended up with a blanket of fluffy snow over everything this morning.
Four inches is what I measured on the front steps.

The wind chill this morning gives us a “real feel” temperature of 4 degrees. So when I went outside, I didn’t stay long. Just gave myself time to snap some pictures and come back inside. Our puppies love the snow! No issues with getting them to go out in it at all!

Given that the roads are also covered in snow, I think I’m safe in assuming that I will have another 3-day weekend. Maybe 4, although I had already taken Tuesday off for some appointments.
The snow is definitely the best part of the week. But, other good things happened too. My interview went very well on Friday. At least, I think it did. And Josh started painting our spare bedroom yesterday that we are turning into a study. We should be finished with the painting sometime this week. I’m excited to have that space again for writing and making videos, which I haven’t done lately.
There’s no more snow expected today. It’s just going to be a day of sun glistening off the blanket of white out there. I’ll be inside going about my usual Sunday routine and eagerly waiting for the announcement about work tomorrow. Life is good.
